Infinox Review: FCA Regulation Meets Copy Trading and Multi-Asset Access

Infinox pairs UK regulation with social trading features and a broad instrument list. It is a reasonable fit for traders who want one account across several asset classes — and a poor fit for anyone assuming copy trading removes the need for judgement.

Verify your entity: Commercial terms differ by regulator and by the entity that holds your account. Confirm which one you are onboarded to before funding, and check current spreads, commissions and leverage on the broker's own disclosure page.

What Infinox actually is

Infinox is a UK-regulated broker that has deliberately positioned itself at the intersection of two things: conventional CFD trading, and social or copy trading. The result is a platform aimed at people who want to participate across several asset classes without stitching together accounts at multiple providers, and who are interested in following other traders rather than building everything from scratch.

That positioning is coherent. It also means Infinox is a compromise broker in the literal sense — very good at breadth, not the sharpest tool for any single narrow use case.

Regulation and client protection

The UK entity is authorised by the FCA. Practically, this means segregated client funds, participation in the Financial Services Compensation Scheme up to its stated limit where eligible, leverage caps on retail CFD accounts, and a prohibition on trading incentives that regulators judged to encourage overtrading.

Those protections are real, and they come with a tradeoff that surprises people: FCA retail leverage limits are restrictive. Major forex pairs sit at a low fixed ceiling, and more volatile instruments are capped lower still. If your approach depends on high leverage, UK retail is the wrong jurisdiction for you, and no amount of broker shopping changes that.

Infinox also offers a professional tier with higher leverage. Qualifying for it is not a formality — it involves meeting specific criteria around portfolio size, trading experience or professional activity, and you give up certain retail protections in exchange. Read what you are giving up before electing in.

Social and copy trading: the honest version

Copy trading is Infinox's most distinctive feature and the one most often misunderstood. Mechanically, you allocate capital to mirror another trader's positions. In practice you have outsourced three decisions: what to trade, when to enter, and when to exit.

Two failure modes are extremely common. The first is selecting a signal provider purely on recent headline returns, which is overwhelmingly a measure of how much risk that provider took — the leaderboards naturally surface whoever was most leveraged and most concentrated, right up until they blow up. The second is treating copy trading as passive income, then closing the allocation during the first drawdown, which is precisely when a trend-following system most needs to stay funded.

Used well, copying is a way to deploy capital with a manager whose risk profile you have studied over a full cycle — including their worst month, not their best. Used carelessly, it is leverage on someone else's judgement, with fees attached.

Platforms and execution

MT4 and MT5 are both available, which covers the vast majority of retail tooling and means any expert advisor or indicator you already use should work. Infinox layers its social trading on top of that infrastructure rather than replacing it, so you are not forced to choose between the copy features and a normal trading environment.

Execution quality is the thing you must test yourself. Published spreads are a marketing number measured under good conditions; what you actually get during a news print depends on liquidity and the broker's execution model. Test it during the sessions you genuinely trade.

What you can trade

Coverage spans forex, indices, commodities, share CFDs and crypto CFDs. The breadth is the point — this is an account where you can hold a gold position, an index hedge and a forex trade simultaneously without moving money between providers. For anyone running a portfolio-level view with correlated positions across asset classes, that convenience is worth something real.

Who Infinox suits

Two profiles fit well. First, traders who want regulated access to multiple asset classes from one account and are comfortable operating within retail leverage limits. Second, traders who want exposure to other people's strategies but prefer to do it through a regulated broker rather than an unregulated signal marketplace.

If you are a pure short-term forex scalper optimising every tenth of a pip, or you need very high leverage, Infinox is unlikely to be your best option. FCA retail rules alone rule you out.

Where it falls short

The main limitation is jurisdictional rather than a flaw: if you onboard to the UK entity, retail leverage caps apply and they are tight. That is the bargain for strong protection. The professional tier exists but requires qualifying and surrendering protections.

The second limitation is the copy trading itself. It introduces dependency on a third party and a fee layer, and it can subtly discourage you from doing the work of understanding what you own. Watching someone else trade is not the same as learning to trade.

How to verify before you fund

Confirm which Infinox entity holds your account. If you intend to use copy trading, examine a provider's full equity curve — maximum drawdown and recovery time, not just monthly return — before allocating anything. Run a demo during your real trading hours. Start small and measure actual all-in cost across twenty live trades.

The honest caveat

Neither FCA regulation nor copy trading solves the underlying problem. Regulation protects you from the broker behaving badly; it does not protect you from a strategy with no edge. And copying a profitable trader does not transfer their discipline to you — if you would have closed their position during a drawdown, you will not capture their returns.

Use Infinox for what it genuinely offers: regulated multi-asset access and a convenient execution layer. Keep the hard decisions — position sizing, risk limits, what you are willing to lose — firmly your own.
